The Comfort of Our Risen Christ
We celebrate our Risen Savior who is alive forever more and seated at the right hand of the father. He is alive forever more. Jesus said it is finished. You can have victory in your life and be healed spirit soul and body.
1 Corth 15:1-4 The Resurrection: Jesus is alive and we celebrate. He won the victory. In the storms of your life Jesus is always with you.
John chp 1 vs.1-14 Jesus is the light and we bare witness to that light. Notice darkness comprehended it not. Jesus is seen as the eternal son. Now turning to chp 2:1-11 We see that Jesus does miracles and notice it says and his disciples believed on him. That’s like today when there is a miracle of God; it will get people’s attention. Now on to Chp 3 He is a divine teacher. And on to Chap 4 a soul winner. Then on to Chp 14 He is the royal comforter and verse14: 19 is critical to his message of hope.
1. The Truth Asserted. On the Eve of His Crucifixion, Jesus is predicting His Resurrection.
2.The Truth Affirmed. You shall live also. There was hope for the hurting, grieving, frightened, disciples and for us too.
3.The Truth Applied. Because Also, Because Christ lives. Christians will live also. We can enjoy His presence, embrace His promices, expect His provision, exemplify His precepts, execute His program, Engage His power, encourage His people and emulate His pattern.
Gods faithfulness: God is Faithful and cares about every detail of your life.
Deut 4:31 For the Lord God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers.
Deut 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
Psl 105:8 He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act.
Does he promise and not fulfill?
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unservingly to the hope we profess, for he who promiced is faithful.
Psl 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord
We can surrender everything to him and trust him. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Today let’s take time to remember and be thankful for what Jesus has done for us and how he is alive and interceding for us.
God has a plan for you and to give you a hope an a expected end. He knew you even from the beginning.
Conclusion: The fact that Jesus lives is a pledge that all who believe in Him shall be saved. He has power over spiritual foes, and He can deliver us from the hands of our enemies and from all temptation. God still does miracles today. Countless times Jesus tells us to only believe. We need to walk by faith and not by sight.
